 On behalf of our client PEPCO, a Polish discount retail chain with over 4,000 stores and 31,000 employees across 19 European countries, known for offering affordable family fashion, home essentials, toys, and seasonal products, DEKRA is looking for:


AREA MANAGER


JOB DESCRIPTION:


  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of standards and projects;
    • Identify issues and propose effective solutions to the Regional Manager;
      • Recommend strategies to support store sales growth and improve operational performance;
        • Monitor and evaluate the results of implemented solutions;
          • Evaluate the appropriateness of resource and tool allocation by store managers in accordance with the work plan and internal procedures;
            • Verify the implementation of standards and procedures, with particular emphasis on VM principles, customer service, and inventory management;
              • Supervise store managers in planning store working hours;
                • Supervise compliance with inventory management procedures;
                  • Verify the conformity of goods storage with the warehouse layout;
                    • Assess the store manager’s knowledge of inventory management;
                      • Analyze inventory value;
                        • Check the value of goods in the warehouse;
                          • Make decisions regarding merchandise transfers;
                            • In special cases, report to the Planning and Logistics Department about the need to temporarily reduce/increase goods allocation or change delivery dates;
                              • Analyze inventory audit results, and in case of discrepancies from targets, prepare an action plan (recovery plan);
                                • Assign daily tasks and evaluate their performance;
                                  • Ensure compliance with Labor Law, Occupational Safety, and health regulations;
                                    • Organize and conduct the selection process for all employees for new stores and managers for existing stores:
                                      • Organize and conduct interviews in collaboration with the Human Resources department;
                                        • Decide on candidate selection for managerial positions;
                                          • Decide on candidate selection for cashier positions;
                                            • Process employment requests, terminations;
                                              •  Responsible for the employee onboarding process;
                                                •  Foster relationships among employees:
                                                  • Promote corporate values by personal example;
                                                    • Support the development of managerial skills in store managers;
                                                      • Assist store managers in resolving employee conflicts;
                                                        • Supervise the organization of work in stores:

                                                          1.Verify compliance of work scheduling and hours with the Labor Law and organizational needs.


                                                          2.Arrange additional support in special situations, such as during inventory, opening of new stores, or employee absences.


                                                          • Organize and conduct regular meetings with store managers;
                                                            • Manage the work of employees under supervision in areas of planning, organizing, motivating, supervising, evaluating, and development.

                                                              QUALIFICATIONS:


                                                              • 1-3 years of sales experience;
                                                                • Active drive license;
                                                                  • Willingness to travel frequently;
                                                                    • Excellent communication, analytical  and organizational skills;
                                                                      • Team- oriented mindset;
                                                                        • Strong problem solving skills;
                                                                          • English language.
