Who we are?
The British Embassy in Skopje is part of a worldwide network, representing British political, economic, commercial and consular interests overseas and is currently looking to recruit a Driver.
The Embassy Driver is an essential member of the Corporate Services team, responsible for providing safe, efficient, and professional transportation services to Embassy staff and official visitors. The role ensures smooth logistical support for the Embassy’s operations and contributes directly to the wider objectives of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the Ministry of Defence (MOD), with responsibilities split 75% under FCDO and 25% under MOD.
The jobholder will work closely with the Transport Manager, Corporate Services colleagues, and other Embassy departments to deliver timely and courteous driving services for meetings, official functions, and airport transfers. They will also assist with messenger duties and administrative tasks related to vehicle documentation and compliance. Maintaining vehicles in excellent condition—including regular servicing, cleaning, and safety checks—is a critical part of the role.
Main purpose of job:
The Embassy Driver will provide safe, punctual, and professional transport services for staff and official visitors, while ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and administrative requirements are met. The role requires discretion, reliability, and strong customer service skills, and involves occasional out-of-hours work and overnight stays in Kosovo.

The expected start date is March 23rd 2026 however, the job holder should be available to start as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will be subject to professional background check, security clearance.
Staff recruited locally by the British Embassy in Skopje are subject to terms and conditions of service according to local (Republic of North Macedonia) employment law.

Candidates must currently hold the independent right to live and work in Republic of North Macedonia and be prepared to ensure that right remains throughout the scope of the contract.
