Soccer Data Analyst
Responsibilities / Your Mission
- Capture match data in real time: Follow live football broadcasts and continuously record key actions, including goals, shots, and other relevant match events, in the designated system
- Interpret and categorize events: Assess on-field actions based on predefined criteria and assign the appropriate classifications during the match and as part of the post-match review
- Provide reliable league coverage: Handle data collection for fixtures across multiple leagues, ensuring all relevant information is entered accurately and checked for completeness
- Coordinate live operations: Work closely with a fellow data collector, dividing responsibilities effectively to maintain a consistent pace while ensuring accurate and comprehensive match coverage
- Maintain data quality: Review the collected data after each match, identify and correct inaccuracies, and ensure the required quality standards are met
- Complete onboarding requirements: Successfully complete the selection process, mandatory training, and practical exercises to be fully prepared for live match assignments
Your Profile
Must-Haves
- Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
- Strong understanding of soccer rules, match situations, and key game events
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to consistently follow defined guidelines and classification rules
- Ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining focus in a time-sensitive environment
- Availability to work according to match schedules, including evenings and weekends
- Currently based in the Skopje region
Nice-to-Haves
- Previous experience in live sports data collection, match analysis, or a similar field
- Knowledge of international soccer competitions and their specific characteristics
- Flexibility to take on different responsibilities during match coverage depending on individual strengths and preferences
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and supervisors
