December is always the month when we reflect on what has been accomplished and set goals for the year ahead. We often question whether we could have done more, been more productive, or earned more.
All of these questions are completely valid and provide a good foundation for setting plans for the New Year. When it comes to HR trends for 2025, they will focus on accelerated technological development, increased attention to employees’ mental health and well-being, as well as a transition toward flexible work models.
A large number of global corporations and companies will focus on automating many work processes, further digitalizing their services, and increasing their care for employees.
We are already witnessing pilot programs for a four-day workweek in several countries—something that could significantly transform the labor market and the global economy. Therefore, although some of these topics and initiatives may seem distant in the Macedonian context, these trends will not bypass us, and local companies must adapt to these changes.
This includes continuous adaptation, enabling hybrid work schedules and remote work, providing increased support for employees, and creating mechanisms to protect their mental health.
